The loss of a loved one is difficult as we search for meaning, learn to cope, and navigate the healing process. After a loss, grief support groups for both adults and children (ages 5 to 18) offer an opportunity to share feelings and connect with others experiencing similar losses.
Support groups, led by Hospice of the Piedmont grief counselors, provide a safe, supportive environment where concerns, fears and questions can be discussed. In addition, special workshops and educational events offer additional opportunities for support.
The Grief Counseling Center at Hospice of the Piedmont has helped thousands of people cope with the sadness and depression that frequently accompany the loss of a family member or close friend. Grief support is available to the families of Hospice patients, as well as anyone in the community who has suffered a loss. All services are offered free of charge.
