The “Eat Smart Move More Weigh Less” Program

We’re excited to introduce our first wellness initiative for 2022!  Through our partnership with the NC Medical Society, we have access to the Eat Smart Move More Weigh Less ® program developed by professionals at NC State University.  This program promotes healthy eating and physical activity over 15-week interactive online sessions. A brief overview is below.



We recognize the commitment it will take to stay engaged amongst other competing priorities in your life.  BUT, the investment in yourself will pay off in a healthier, more balanced YOU!  You will have access to numerous resources to support you on this journey!  And, those who complete the program will be entered into a drawing for a Fitbit Smart Watch! 


Our challenge will begin the week of April 25. Click here for the program handout that provides a link for registering and a coupon code to waive the $235 registration fee.  You can choose the class time that works best for your needs, but we ask that you not begin before the week of April 25 in order to be eligible for the drawing at the end of the 15-week program.


A few things to note:

  1. You will need to enter information from your BCBSNC medical insurance card, so be sure to have that handy when you register!
  2. Once registered, you can transfer to another class within two weeks of the start date.
  3. You will be asked during registration to pay a $30 fee.*  Over the 15-week period, that’s only $2 per week that you will be investing in yourself, and once you complete the course, the $30 fee will be reimbursed to you!  That means the entire experience is free to you upon completion!
  4. Registration closes April 22, so don’t delay in signing up for a class that will best meet your schedule needs.

*Additional charges will apply if you are not currently enrolled in a Hospice of the Piedmont medical plan.
