As you may have heard, this year’s Taste of the Town is going to look a bit (or actually a lot) different! As a little background for the legacy Piedmont folks, each spring, the Randolph County community supports Hospice of Randolph through Dine Out for Hospice Dollars. This year’s event was cancelled due to COVID-19. When we realized that Taste of the Town would need to take on a new format, it became clear that we could expand the signature event to include restaurants across our entire service area. So, this year’s event has been dubbed Dine Out for Hospice Taste of the Town. We are excited to support the local vendors who have supported both Hospice of the Piedmont and Hospice of Randolph faithfully for so many years.
Like this year’s event, the silent auction is going to be different too. We are going to try a small online auction during the event week, and like in years past, we are asking that the staff help us put together a gift basket to auction off.
If you are interested in donating, we are putting together a “Family Fun Game Night” basket – anything from games to movies and candy/snacks to pizza gift cards would work great! Hopefully, we will be able to build two baskets – one for Taste of the Town and one for the Auction & BBQ in November. Please turn donated items into Nicole Payne at the High Point campus and Lisa Huffman at the Randolph campus by Wednesday, August 12. Let us know if you have questions or need ideas.
