Holiday Bereavement Programs

October 27, 2022, by Jessica Crisp

As we approach the upcoming holiday season, Hospice of the Piedmont and Hospice of Randolph are pleased to announce a variety of bereavement programs for those grieving throughout the community.  This year’s program offerings include our traditional program, Hope for the Holidays, and a new Kids Path program, When the Holidays are Hard: Helping Children Connect to Hope After a Loss.

These sessions are free and open to anyone in the community that has experienced a loss, including our own team members. Please see the event and registration details below.  This information is also posted on our agency’s Facebook pages.  Please share the posts with your friends to help the community know about these helpful resources.

If you have any questions about these programs, please contact one of our Bereavement Counselors.

When the Holidays are Hard: Helping Children Connect to Hope After a Loss

This year, we are excited to launch a special Kids Path holiday grief event for the families in our communities. This in-person event will be open to any child who has experienced the loss of a loved one as well as their parent or guardian.

During this event, children will participate in craft activities and learn interventions that can be utilized in moments of deep grief.  Additionally, parents and guardians will be invited to an educational session with our bereavement counselors to learn about how grief impacts children.

Our hope is to help grieving children prepare for the upcoming holiday season while also equipping their loved ones to support their child through the grieving process.
