March PULSE Award

March 25, 2022, by Jessica Crisp

At the All Staff Meeting on Wednesday, March 23, one team member received a PULSE Award.  The PULSE – Performing Unlimited Lasting Services with Excellence – award recognizes, celebrates and encourages our co-workers. Congratulations to Michelle Wilson!

Nominee: Michelle Wilson, IPU Hospice Aide (Location: Hospice Home at High Point)

“Michelle Wilson is the most hardworking CNA I have ever come across. Michelle NEVER calls in sick. She is ready to work when she hits the door and never slows down. It’s nothing for Michelle to pull a double shift to make sure the patients are well cared for. During my time at Hospice, I have seen Michelle be the only CNA on a shift several times. She takes it in stride and does as much as possible without compromising patient care. Michelle is known for her baths. The patients literally fall asleep during the bath process. She is also known as our resident hairdresser. She can wash, cut, style like nobody’s business! She gets compliments every weekend. Once an ALS patient was choking on his lunch, and Michelle was in his bed and behind him performing the Heimlich in a flash. It was super hero speed! Besides all of the patient care she does, she’ll grab the phone, direct visitors, restock supplies, cook patient’s food after the kitchen staff is gone, do laundry and support family members with love and kindness. I am proud to have Michelle on my shifts. She is truly an angel and extraordinary at her job!”
