National Social Work Month

March 2, 2021, by Jessica Crisp

Join us as we celebrate our social workers during National Social Work Month! These incredible individuals contribute greatly to our organization, our communities and the world around us.

Did you know that the social work profession began in the late 19th century to ensure that immigrants and other vulnerable populations gained tools and skills to escape economic and social poverty? Many privileges that we enjoy today are due to early social workers who observed the sufferings of others and took action in an effort to improve our country.  To learn more about the history of the social work profession, visit https://www.socialworkers.org/News/Facts/Social-Work-History.

Social workers have always been essential and have continued to serve as a catalyst for change in our society.  Be sure to thank these important team members during March by sending a text or personal email to let them know how valuable they are to us!
