Throughout the E-Series, our organization’s educational webinar series turned podcast, we have connected with some great community resources. Giselle Mansi, Director of the YWCA’s Latino Family Center, joined Trent in an early episode to help identify health disparities specific to the Latino community and common concerns related to healthcare accessibility. From this conversation, an idea with born to create a Spanish resource for the Latino community to learn more about hospice and normalize conversations about seeking help at end of life.
Together, with our own Daisy Hurtado, LPN Care Coordinator with our Business Development team, an important and needed resource was created. Giselle and Daisy’s conversation (in Spanish) will be a tool that organization’s like the Latino Family Center can use to help educate those they serve. This encouraging conversation works to answer questions and address cultural differences that may create barriers to accepting hospice services.

Special thank you to Daisy for taking part in this important project.
