At the All Staff Meeting on Wednesday, September 29, two team members received a PULSE Award. The PULSE – Performing Unlimited Lasting Services with Excellence – award recognizes, celebrates and encourages our co-workers. Congratulations to Caroline Oxford and Kathy Isom!
Nominee: Caroline Oxford, Medical Social Worker (High Point)
“Caroline is an awesome team member and one I have valued greatly over the last several years. She is always willing to give a helping hand to patient’s and families but also other team members. She really helped me out one day where it was very challenging and I had not had a chance to get lunch. She and I had several people to see together and she decided that while I was dropping off labs she picked me up lunch and met me at our next destination. It was the best hamburger ever! Thank you Caroline, not just for the hamburger but for having my back time and time again!”
Nominee: Kathy Isom, Care Coordination Associate (Randolph)
“Kathy was scheduled to work on Saturday, 9/4/21 from 12:30-5pm to take the calls for admissions and referrals. We had an extremely complicated patient coming home with IV pain medication via a pump. Kathy worked way beyond her scheduled hours to manage the multiple calls related to this patient. She managed called up until around 9pm. Kathy did not have to do this but she knew that my day was already overwhelming and she went above and beyond to assure this young patient had everything in place so the admission could move forward. I cannot thank Kathy enough for her help!!”
