Volunteer Training

Patient/family volunteers play an important role in the hospice team in a variety of capacities. These volunteers visit with patients and families in their home setting providing companionship, respite and listening ear or a helping hand. Activities may include supportive phone calls and visits, providing respite for the caregiver, running errands, providing transportation, delivering meals or doing simple chores.

As we continue to expand our volunteer services, we do so with an abundance of caution and with protocols in place to protect our volunteers and those they serve. *Please note: As a healthcare organization, volunteers are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition, a surgical mask is required for all in-person sessions.
