About This Video

Did you know that hospice is a type of care that can be provided wherever someone calls home?

Hospice team member Rick Charles shares that individuals can receive hospice care at their private residence, in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, and when needed in one of our hospice inpatient units, Hospice Home at High Point or the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

We focus on meeting people where they are, physically and emotionally, to help families achieve their goals and feel supported along the way.

At Hospice of the Piedmont, we’re here to help you understand your care options no matter where you are in your health journey.

Many people believe that hospice is a place to receive care, when actually, hospice care can be provided wherever someone calls home, in their private residence, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing facility, and when needed in a hospice inpatient unit.

[00:00:15]

About 90% of the individuals Hospice of the Piedmont cares for each year receive services in their home setting and are never admitted to our inpatient units, such as Hospice Home at High Point or the Randolph Hospice House.

Studies consistently show that most people prefer to spend their final days in the comfort and familiarity of their home.

That’s why we focus on meeting people where they are, physically and emotionally, to help families achieve their goals for end-of-life care.
