A monthly interactive therapeutic art workshop for individuals who desire to explore creative ways to work through and express their grief.
Grief Masks
Grief can cause us to feel so overwhelmed that we begin to hide our true feelings and pretend that everything is okay. While these figurative masks protect us from our pain, they can also hinder our ability to heal. Participants will use paper masks to depict how they feel inside compared to what they show others on the outside.
October 6 | 4 – 5:30 p.m.
Registration deadline is October 1. Click here to register.
Gratitude Tree
When you have had a rough year, it can be difficult to find any positives. Losing a loved one presents us with a reality where joy and happiness seem so far out of reach. Participants will use oil pastels and watercolors to create an image of a gratitude tree based on the people and things they value most in life. Moments of gratitude in the midst of adversity has the ability to pull our focus towards what remains rather than become consumed by what we lost.

Journey Map
It is just as important to look at what is gained as it is to acknowledge what has been lost. A journey map allows us to see just how far we have come in our grief journeys and celebrate even the smallest of achievements. Participants will use symbols, colors, and images to create a visual timeline of their grief journey highlighted with many ups and downs.
